Wish I had the time to pull my motor for fun! Honestly though you only have to pull the trans for the RMS and clutch (put an AASCO LWFW while your in there). If the engine is known to be good I would leave it in and run it. You can always scope the cylinders with the engine installed too. Anyways keep us updated on the project as it moves along.

Just looking at your short list I don't see a center radiator kit anywhere. If you've got a manual you'll definitely want to add that to the list and if you're doing the water pump you might as well do the center radiator so you don't have to drain the coolant again. And you've already got the front of the car apart so its super easy!

Is that a new kit or just replacing a factory radiator with a new one ?

Why is it a benefit for manual ?

Any links regarding it ?

thank you!!

Manual cars did not come with a center radiator but the automatics did. The center radiator helps keep your oil temperature from spiking as well as keeps it ~20 degrees cooler in hard driving conditions. There's a bunch of threads here if you want to read up more on it.

Here's the kit I used:

Underdrive pulley if you track
Power steering cooler if you track fast.
Ln Magnetic Drain plug
Ln Spin on oil filter adaptor

That's what I would do.
Plus deep sum pan

May be obvious, but:

- change transmission oil
- consider baffled/deeper oil pan for sprint days and better oiling
- I agree on 3rd radiator for more consistent cooling
- if doing brakes consider changing lines, yours are 10 years old
- replace lug nuts with studs

Hope to see your build here soon, good luck!

The clutch and flywheel will blow your mind. That's a must do in my opinion.
