Its been a month, its good to see my thread has created much discussion.
The car's oil still runs "cooler" than before. I have not seen the temps go over 220 even on 90 degree days and driving hard. While I understand how a T-Stat works, and the operating temps seem to rest in the same place on the incredibly inaccurate temp gauge, the oil does in fact run cooler than previously for whatever reason on average.
Who knows?
