Hello 997.2 owners, does anybody know where the high pressure fuel pump is and if it is easily accessible? Photos would be great!! Thanks!

No sure but a friend of mine in Toronto recently had his replaced when his 2010 997.2 went into limp mode.

It's quite the procedure to replace but it was done free of charge by Porsche of Canada as it is a known issue and Porsche is quietly replacing them as customers experience the issue. This was done outside the warranty period, having long expired.

The pumps are located at the top sides of the engine. There is an article in the latest edition of Panaroma, describing the the fuel injection process.

I believe it is located on the bottom left rear of the 3.8 dfi. Her is a schematic, note the exhaust pipe for reference. It is fairly accessible.

Item #22. Looks to be on the driver side rear of the engine?

Yep, that looks to be it. Might be an easy DIY.

It is just left of the water pump...right next to it. I just had mine replaced at Dealer $850 for part and $500 for labor. It was a longer job and it requires removal of coolant.
If you have any water pump noise/concern replace that at same time to save labor. A week after I had fuel pump done my water pump started to leak. I argued that they caused water pump leak from repair and that got me nowhere...a fun $2300 month of repairs.
