Default How much oil ....?

Dashboard oil measuring gage (electronic) just dropped from 3 squares to two squares (out of total 3 between max and min marks). It has been eight months and about 4,000 miles since last oil change.

How much oil should I put in there to bring it up to 3/3? It is a 2009 4s.

Thanks.

According to the manual----- 0.4 litres , but I know someone will correct me . But really why? If you drive another 2k over 4 months and you drop to one bar, you are still within range, and by then, your ready for an oil change. These are gauges, not paranoid lights. You could at least wait till your ID 10 T light comes on, in which case you should add 0.4 litres.

With an 8+ liter capacity, no need to top off with 0.4 liter to get to the max bar.

No need to add any oil. Wait until next oil change (which should be once a year or 6000 miles, whichever is less). New oil should be filled to one bar below max.
