I believe several guys have placed their orders already, I know my big bore x-pipe is due to be delivered on Monday, so I will post pictures when it arrives.

Top Gear advises that the normal 200 cell cat pipes are likely to be out of stock until early May.

I do not believe you can order out of stock items. I will ask about whether the use of the coupon code can be extended though.

The website provides the price breakdown on checkout. I have not looked at my credit card statement for a further breakdown. Additionally, I paid another C$92 for taxes, duty and brokerage to DHL.

Any pictures or comments on quality on those that received them already?

I was set on 200 cell Sport cats but am hesitating on the oversized X-Pipe. The X-pipe in general supposedly swaps low end loss for high end gains but the larger diam pipe claims to eliminate or offset low end loss due to lower back pressure from high flow cats. I don't get how a larger diameter lessens the effect or low back pressure loss. Larger diam = less back pressure, unless there is some interactive magic with the cats themselves.

I'm just looking for more total area under the power curve rather than a shift.

I am certainly not a fluid dynamicist, but the big bore version tapers back down to the smaller diameter size near the tail pipes. That should encourage higher exhaust flow, should it not?

Anyway, my big bore x-pipe arrived yesterday - was shipped from the UK last Thursday so it was quite quick (I'm in western Canada). I will post pictures later.

Correct me if I am wrong, but on a naturally aspirated car, doing anything with the exhaust is just for aural cosmetics... for example, it is more of a question of how you want your car to sound, not how much power you will be getting.

the factory exhaust is pretty much maximized for power output on our cars, any power gains from after market exhausts will never be noticed...

Generally there is little to be gained in a NA car but there is a lot of debate about them holding back to create a gap to the GT3 which is generally accepted as being maximized. Obviously a different engine case and internals but with a 3.8 there may be some gains to be had in the exhaust. I realize it would not be much but for @ $500 it is not that expensive a gamble.

Sorry guys, the week got away from me. Here are pictures I shot in the past few days. I wasn't able to get my iPhone camera to focus on the cat cells, I was shooting through one of the 02 sensor ports and it just wasn't cooperating.

I haven't installed it yet, probably another month yet. My car is parked over the winter months (the irony is that it's my AWD car) so I want to get the car back on the road first, drive it a bit, then install it.

Impressions - looks nice. My previous experience with some Japanese exhaust brands on my S2000 (specifically, J's Racingand Tanabe) showed me some welding p0rn. The welds on the Top Gear pieces isn't to that level, but it looks functional. All in, I'm still at about half price compared to the next cheapest option out there, and that's a huge consideration for me given the very weak Canadian dollar.
