Default Stereo options for '06 without 680 - Bose High End Sound Package

I have a 2006 C4 and I do *not* have the Bose package. When I disconnect the fiber optic cable from the back of my PCM unit, the radio keeps playing. Does this mean I have good options for a replacement head unit?

Honestly I don't care very much about superb sound quality or anything like that. You know that level of "good enough" where it sounds totally acceptable and from that point forward, more money gives you gains in very small increments? I want to stay right on that line.

I really just want Bluetooth streaming and telephoning and XM radio in my car with the stock equipment. It sounds totally acceptable right now - I just need those two more sources!

6 speed has a good write up for a budget speaker replacement. Did it myself and happy with the results. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...3-22-15-a.html

For Bluetooth there are many options. I used the dension system which allows full Bluetooth integration including audio, telephone. Shows song playing and phone book. Allows USB iPod as well.

People also like the tooki which is a cheaper option.

I don't care about the speakers. The stock speakers are fine.

Most of this came about because my Dension install isn't working - nothing registers from the MOST system, ever!

I'm considering this head unit, very affordable and lots of great reviews on it. The best thing I like is the built in GPS navigation system, it works independently. Has every other modern features that are currently out there. I also like this unit because it has a volume **** that is easily accessible without taking your eyes off the road. This is a very good safety feature.
