I debadged my 997 but the P O R S C H E block letters might replace Carrera. I does look a little naked.

I wouldn't consider the horse, way too similar to Ferrari. It may be different, but no one will know that unless you get them side by side. I have been a huge Porsche fan my whole life and I know there is a difference but I couldn't tell anyone what that difference is.

whatever you do, use clear tape and use it as a test fit and take some photos and admire from afar.... before doing anything relatively permanent.

i think the horse is a little too much imo. first thing i think of is ferrari (and I'm sure many others).

question, what is wrong with the oem badge sizing?

As mentioned by others : Horse looks cheap and many people will think you try to make it look as if it's a Ferrari (even if you don't) Nobody except us Porsche or Ferrari fanatics can tell the difference between the different horses

I like the smaller Porsche letters though. Even better than the 991 over badged lid.

Nothing is really wrong with the OEM badging. Everyone just seems to have it and I think it's to overbearing/flashy.

I am always trying to do something a little different, In this case, that might not be possible.

Ok, the horse is out

if u size down the badging, adjust the kerning/spacing accordingly (again use clear tape so nothing is permanent and stand back 15-20 ft to assess and adjust notes/measuremnets). above all else make sure the measurements are from the bottom of the decklid NOT the top (i can't stress this enough as your car is WAYYYYYYYYYY too nice to have some botched home made frowning down P O R S C H E emblem).

Of all the ways the 911 has been badged (currently it's 2 full lines worth) I've always liked the word "Carrera" over "Porsche". Just sounds better and more inline with the car for me. Everyone knows it's a Porsche. No need to announce it further.

What about a block version of the word "Carrera"?

Block version of CARRERA.

Also, I think for now, I am going with the standard Porsche. Painting the sides red, leaving the top black and raw from the printing. Going to clear and bake today and see what it looks like on the car.

This is what I meant by block CARRERA but now that I see it on your car I'm not loving it. I think we are used to seeing PORSCHE in block style font but Carrera has always been stylized.

Fun to watch you play with it though...

I have a crest on the back of all of mine - on the 997s they're in the large open space at the top of the rear bumper. Wasn't enough space on the decklid without making everything too cramped. Some like it, some don't, but I do.

I don't like the horse by itself, but seems you've moved on from that already.

Helps disguise the trunk lock in this case
Cayenne Turbo S will get one too once the widebody conversion and paint are done.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

I don't mind the crest on the back at all. Your cars look great!
