Hello everyone,

Thinking about changing front seats in my 997 from 991. Does anyone done that before? As I think there might be a problem with a wiring and my local Porche dealer does not give any guarantee that seats will work perfect.

No idea. Interested to know though....

Call Suncoast and see if they have any experience since they sell a lot of parts to DIY'ers.

It's not very hard to swap seats to test it, or you can try to plug the car into the new seats without removing to see if everything works as expected.

 

Please update if you find out either way. Looking at replacing seats and this would open up options. Also if heated seats are straight plug/play.

 

There was a similar discussion on the 991 GT3 board a few years ago when it seemed as though the light weight buckets may not be available for the 991 GT3. People looked into fitting 997 GT3 seats to the 991 GT3. I think the official reply was can't do it. But one person (Sam from TX I think???) had his indy work on it and eventually found a solution.

Not sure if this would be the same for non-GT3 seats, but may be worthwhile visiting that thread.

 

I would call LAdismantler.com. They break a ton of 911's and would know what fits what.

 

Guys, any news? The offer to buy 991 seats and then compare with 997 is not the best deal

Im thinking to put new Leather on my 997 seats but its cheaper to get used 991seats Im just sure if they will fit anyone know if they will work?
