Default Need opinions

Purchased a 2006 C4S in october of last year for 31k, I am the 5th owner, 4th owner was selling at a discount since it had 2 prior accidents. Both were fender benders that have now been verified by the body shop that I had her in for the last three months. I had the front bumper resprayed, calipers resprayed, wheels refinished, paint correction and various chips taken care of. Also had the front seats re-dyed and headlights/turn signals refinished. Total shop bill was 6200. Car has 44,800 miles and had a 40k service right before I purchased it. Mechanically car is great, with the exception of passenger mirror not working. Car is loaded with nav, full leather, bose, porsche crests in the head rests. Black with Sand Beige interior. I am all in at 37.5k with this car and wondering if I can get my money back out of this car if I decide to sell. I have been seeing C4s cars with similar mileage bringing low to mid 40's but the accident history and multiple owners makes me think I am in the mid to high thirties if I sell. I have kept all documentation of repair work done at the body shop as well as documentation of the 40k service. Opinions wanted PLEASE, Thanks.

That price sounds reasonable. You might be pretty close to getting your money out of it if you sell it sometime soon. Someone who appreciates the C4S and is looking for a great GT car, or DD, that also doubles as a fun, stable and safe track car, might appreciate a well maintained model that is specked out pretty well.

Erm... 5 owners and 2 accidents. Be very happy if anyone will buy it at all for more than 25k.
I would plan on keeping and loving it for the long run.

Im thinking mid 30's if you have proper documentation of the previous body work. No matter how well the work was done or how small the fender bender was, the fact it happened will drive the asking price down. How far depends on the above factors. But get the mirror fixed before presenting.

You can get it, but not from anyone on this forum.
As far as the 25k comment goes...sarcastic even though there is no smiley. At least I hope so.

Just think the market astronomically shrinks as you have "accident" as part of the history - no matter how much documentation you have it's psychologically impairing for people

Take it to Carmax and see how much they offer. I don't know if they would be willing to buy a car with 2 accidents, but I think it's worth a try to get a reference point.

Good luck

Agreed, but the wholesale number can give you an idea of what the retail number could be.

If they offer you 20k, then your retail number will not be above 30k.

Pics would be cool.

At that mileage it seems odd that it would require the type of reconditioning that you did.

Nothing was unusual, chips on the front bumper, road rash on the wheels, haze on the headlights and stained brake calipers. Wanted it all fixed, will get pics, car looks great now

Kudos to you for getting her back in tip top shape. That will be points in your favor. I didnt think of getting a quote from Carmax, it would be a good barometer to work up from.
