Default Got the quickjack set up today!

So far so good. Car didn't fall off or anything!

Got from Pelican Parts. $1,595, free shipping, 2 quarts of atf (needs 2.5 though), no Tax, and should be getting free SUV adapters (but they are not here yet?). I'm excited. Brakes and tire rotations should take 1/2 the time and the same for oil changes!

They're really handy and easy to use. I got one back in November and love it.

Wow, very nice.

I know what I want to get next for my garage!

I'm curious about one picture that shows the oil pan. To the left, there's a pump looking thing but with no pulley. What is that?

Do they lock somehow? or do you still need jack stands to safely go under?

There are safety locks on each side.

don't really care for these items, especially given the price, but if you're happy and they meet your needs, enjoy.

I got a set of Lift Bars and am very happy... easy to use and store.... but.... when I see something with hydraulics...... something stirrs inside (yes the voices get louder).... I wonder if the Quickjack would be cooler...... and I could use it on my Wife's Lexus... something I didn;t think of at the time.

Read about my Lift Bars here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...got-a-set.html

Peace

Did you get the 5000 model or the 7000 model? I ask because $1595 is the 7000's price if I'm not mistaken. I'm looking at the 7000 so I can use it on all my cars

If you can't drop the engine with the quickjack it become less interesting for me in hurry. Seems like a lot of apparatus for very little lift. Liftbars + jackstands nets the same. I'm also more of "go big or go home" kinda guy when it comes to tools and such.

I got the 7000 b/c I also have a Cayenne. Pretty happy so far. I know there are a lot of discussions about dropping engines, etc, but I primarily bought mine for oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, and minor suspension work. Makes my life easier not having to bend as much b/c I have a bad lower back too.

Really glad you're enjoying it so far. Great pictures, thanks for sharing. I always love seeing different models raised on the QJ. Shoot me a PM with your order number and I'd be glad to check in on the SUV adapters for you to make sure you get them. Once you get them be sure to post a picture with your Cayenne lifted. I'd like to see it.

As for engine drop, the consensus on it is no. However, the SUV adapters do give some great additional height.

Not only does QJ have automatic locking arms, they have a dual locking position and have 14 gauge welded steel frames. The QuickJack replaces clumsy floor jacks and unstable jack stands with a safe, durable and very convenient vehicle jacking and support system. When installed and operated properly there should be no issues.

If anyone has any other questions we have a pretty extensive thread with information here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...jack-lift.html. Can always shoot me a PM if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Thank god for my drive way. I have about a 2" drop from the garage.

I put two 3/4" planks open the floor, back the car up so the tail hangs out, and that's all I need for an oil change on the GT3.

Oil changes are a snap on the GT3.

For the Cayenne I just use some low ramps. Still a bitch compared to the GT3.

For serious work I'll let my independent garage do it. I've paid my dues with engine drops on a 964.
