Default Excellence or Total 911?

I subscribed to Excellence and Panorama mag. Both are pretty good with some redundancies. Don't have time for three p car mags so was thinking of switching to Total 911. Can't find it on the newsstand to judge content and style. so figured I'd get thoughts from you guys on value of content.

Should i stick with Excellence or jump ship to Total 911 knowing I can get other p car model content from Panorama?

I read Total 911 when I visit Barnes and Noble - good mag but I read these mags as much for the ads as for the content and the ads in Total 911 are for vendors located in Europe. If you can't find the print mag I believe you can get Total 911 as an online subscription.

I love Total 911. It's my favorite magazine. Actually, just came back from Barnes & Noble from buying the latest issue (see pic below). I've learned a ton from that magazine since I started buying it about a year ago.

They also have an app where you can either buy issues separately or subscribe for 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year. Screenshots below.

I like Total 911, better content and writing. Excellence has fallen off, I really haven't been able to read much of what they write these days.

You could always drop all of your subscriptions and go for this www.000magazine.com. The content is incredibly detailed and the pictures are top notch.

Or try GT Porsche, a UK magazine with great articles and a really nice iPad interface.

I've been considering that one for a few weeks but $250 for only 4 issues is a bit much IMO.

Excellence continues to be a great source of articles, info and ads in the US.

I don't see much of a difference between Excellence and Panorama anymore.
I almost feel they're the same magazine now.

It's more of a book than a magazine based on the amount of pages it has but it uses a similar approach as a magazine with multiple articles and changing topics.

Each article is intensely detailed and worthy of reading unlike many magazines these days and the ad content is minimal. Truly worth it if you appreciate Porsche's and everything that goes into making them what they are.

I enjoy my Total 911 subscription, but when it runs out, I'll switch to 911 Porsche World, just to view something a little different - it's another UK magazine. Personally, I like having a hard copy of the magazine. Always fun to thumb through.

Panorama is much like what Excellence was several years ago. I guess this is because the editor, Pete Stout left Excellence to take on the editor position at Panorama. The immediate difference in the editorial quality of Excellence was noticeable (noticeably bad, that is). I think (memory is a bit fuzzy) the editor that replaced Stout lasted a year or so. Excellence did get better but I let my subscription lapse about a year ago. Maybe I did not read it (Excellence) closely enough but to me (my opinion) it seemed to be a mouthpiece for PCNA.

Anyway, for however good or bad Excellence may be, I'd say to not renew and try something different if you are questioning its value - you can always resubscribe.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll get the digital sub for Total 911 and go from there.

Started reading on a plane last night and realized one thing I'd miss is US based Porsche racing series news (i.e Cup and GT4) since this is UK based. So keep that in mind if any of you are thinking of subscribing.
