PSE Button
I just bought an 06 C4S with a number of options including PSE (Option Code XLF). On my 04 C4S, also with PSE, I had a button on the dash to turn it on/off. No button on the 06. Is that common for PSE from factory? I actually prefer it on full-time, but was just curious about the button.
If relevant, I do have the Sport Chrono Package Plus as well (Option 640).
Thanks!

PSE from the factory should have a dash button - the graphic on the button looks like the two tailpipes. I had an 06 C4S with those options (XLF and 640) and did have the PSE button.

I though so, too. It would be down with the suspension, sport, and PASM buttons. Here's a pic of the dash. No button, but I ran a VIN check and checked the options list that came with the vehicle. Definitely indicates Sports Exhaust.

Unplug and zip tie the PSE plug. 997.1 location:

Also, make sure you actually have PSE unlike the idiot in the link.

Do you have the X-51 package from the factory? My 06 C4S X-51 doesn't have the separate exhaust button. Valves are only open in sport mode.

Since you have Sport Chrono Package Plus and PSE, your PSE is controlled by the Sport button. As nwGTS said, unplug the PSE electrical connector and zip-tie it so your valves are always open.

FWIW, this is the first time I've heard of someone having Sport Chrono + PSE and having a PSE button..
@jhbrennan, I'd run your VIN to make sure your car has factory PSE

Well you're making me doubt my memory now. I'd run out and check but I sold the car 6 years ago but I checked the VIN again and as you can see it had the two options. Don't know if the Launch Edition option made any difference. I remember when I first took a test drive in the car, salesman made a point of showing me the PSE button. I guess it's a moot point if OP has PSE rigged for FT operation.

Okay, I've officially ruled our idiocracy :-) Different pipe sizes and orange connector, clearly visible. But, I offer that my PSE seems to be on all the time. I went for a hour drive just now, up and down all the gears with sport on and off, sunroof open and closed, and absolutely no discernible sound difference. Puzzling indeed...
