Looks like they reused the Porsche PCM faceplate but replaced the head unit behind it. Probably a no name generic head unit from Asia (the car is a right hand drive in the video). I thought I saw some Android units doing something similar. It certainly looks OEM when powered off.

Do the other buttons on the faceplate work? I serious doubt it integrates into the car any better than the well know aftermarket head units from Pioneer, Alpine or Kenwood. For reference here's some of the well know makes/models fitted into the 997.1, replacing the PCM entirely: https://cai-store.com/collections/99...audio-upgrades

semicycler, these guys are based out of Singapore but have also seen something similar in the UK. With the UK company the head unit maintains all it's OEM functionality and also integrates the iphone for streaming video.
I also assume they must have changed the screen to make it a touch screen, was just interested if anyone had fitted anything like this.
Here is a video from the guys in the UK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC5rkaKOZ4E

Yeah that second clip is not the same thing as your first post. If you go cartonics.co.uk website you will see they are installing a mObridge device for iphone/video. Cartronics does not make the device. The original manufacturer is here: http://www.mobridge.us/compatibility...19/13146/13148 And if you search there are a lot of threads talking about mobridge and denison for iphone/bluetooth/etc. integration into a factory PCM.

That first clip is something different. The head unit behind the original faceplate is replaced with a touch screen something - I'm betting Android of some sort out of China. The youtube video is from 2011 too, quite old. Yes it's installed in Singapore but I doubt they made it there, just installed it like any other car stereo installer. I could be wrong, but there's no website listed to confirm what parts are used.

Here is another option

Personally I'd just go with something from either Pioneer or Alpine, but if the OEM looks is what you're after..

I didn't realise that you could stream video content via the mObridge setup!
I've found the Singaporean facebook account and they have alot of high end cars in their shop.
I'm really not interested in changing my PCM I was really intrigued by the install. I'm going to shoot them an email just purely out of interest!
