That's fair.
Except for the feel.

Damn , then I have been thinking of wanting to repair my door ding and front end rock hits and major chips for nothing . I just need to use the 10' rule......

Now in my business ,I use the 8" rule.......

Hey Pete ,wasn't disagreeing with you or with your business practice ( I see where your coming from ) I was just giving another perspective and I really think that when your selling a replacement part for a vehicle it should look oem or better or you should advertise it as inferior to oem.

I disagree. If you had purchased these, based on the pics provided by the vendor, they in no way represent the actual product delivered.

Also, I don't feel the the above mention example applies to something of this nature. These control buttons should not only look good from 1 ft away, but should also have a clean/smooth feel as well.

I understand that the OEM ones lacked in quality, but to compare these to the worn OEM are crazy. If so, you're basically saying that these suck less than the originals. That still equals crap quality in my book.

Glad I kept in my originals that I cleaned and sprayed with plasti-dip. They look way better than what I received.

I can't believe anyone is trying to justify the quality of the buttons. They look like crap.

Don't get me wrong...the blown up pics make them look terrible. And we are all pcar owners and expect nothing but the best. These are the ones I got. Worst case I file them down and repaint. Mask the letters and I'm good to go.

This misses the point entirely. All of us here paid $100 for TWO SMALL PIECES OF PLASTIC. For that price I sure as hell expected a finished product, not something the requires additional filing, sanding, and repainting. No amount of rationalization can defend the poor quality of these parts. And it's not that Porsche owners expect the best. I'd be even more angry if this was for my old Honda Fit.

I received my order two days ago, and my set looks worse than most of these. Rough unfinished edges, rounded-off corners, and a finished surface that feels as smooth as a metal file combined with 50-grit sandpaper. That's an accurate description of what I received, not hyperbole. I'm just going to continue using the original parts and maybe DIY recondition them at some point in the future. They are still preferable to this Clima-Repair crap.

So a video is worth a thousand words. When I zoom in close enough you can notice the buttons aren´t original, but from a normal distance they look completely fine IMHO.

Has anyone who anyway planned to throw them away try this trick with acetone vapor? it will smooth out the 3D printed texture. Maybe it will be too glossy? Just thinking.

I saw something similar in a YouTube video that was not related to this.

But the TEMP and Fan logos are a sticker put on top You can clearly notice that... Plus they don´t illuminate at night, do they?

They do illuminate at night.
If you look really closely you see it is a sticker.
It's not on top, it's painted over.
Not sure how else they would make the design look good? I don't see it when sitting in the drivers seat.

dont get me wrong, they look fine, but the lettering is more obvious IMHO. The climareapairs at least hes the OEM lettering design (no sticker on top, is the paintwork that makes the lettering). Plus being a sticker, I doubt it will last long.
