Default MB Motorsports 997?

So I listed my car for sale yesterday and i'm already feeling a bit sick about letting it go.

I'm half debating pulling the sale listing and sending the car down to MB Motorsports and have them put in a built engine - my understanding is they charge around 13k to do that which is very reasonable.

If anyone has feedback please share...

Keep in mind, that vendor was removed by the moderators.

That can't be good. Would one of the moderators like to share with us?

Marty, the owner of MB, is gone. Banned. But his posts are still there. Search and read. Many are in the 996 Forum. And many include the screen names here and Jake Raby's.

sell the car...
Buy a 997.2 GTS. There will be NO REGRETS
or find a PDK 997.2 C4s Sport chrono plus - paddle steering wheel- SPASM car like mine..

trust me you will be 100% happy with the upgrade.
I know from other threads you were moving that direction

I think you're right. The 997.2 GTS is one of the few Porsches I love more than the one I already own and the 997.2 C4S is a close 2nd.

Finding the right one is not easy!

Ok I do remember reading some arguments between those two, none of my business.

Just wanted to know if he did good work or not on Porsches.

What about pulling the motor and shipping it to Hartech? The prices seem reasonable compared to the other options.

Did some reading on them they seem to have excellent customer service. If it can be done for 12-13k or less it's of interest - anymore than that and I lean towards just selling and finding a newer 997.

Isn't MB Motorsports the guy that used to have used motors for sale because he'd buy complete 997s, pull the motors and ship the chassis to Poland or somewhere like that. I never understood his business model and it always seemed like some type of scheme to separate an original powerplant from its chassis - made me queasy.

The bad ones eventually get banned.

IIRC, there was some American bashing too...
