Manual vs PDK

6MT in 997s are great and not vague. I have 4 MT sports cars and have driven dozens. Easy and accurate shifting that allows sporty and smooth rev matching. To me the modern benchmark in accurate and tight shift feel is the S2000 and Porsche is only a small notch behind that (and mostly because of the feel of the action, not the actual shifting performance). Porsche is ahead of 90%+ of the MT cars I have driven (BMW, Audi, Ferrari).
As for PDK, it is probably my favorite DCT that I have personally driven (and I own a DCT car from another brand). Just not something I want on a street 911 for my purpose (weekend driving).

Burning Brakes
I have never had a manual transmission that shifted better than the M22 "rock crusher", with a Hurst Competition Plus shifter on my 454 Nova. But, it did require a strong left leg. Everything else seems "dainty".
