Default 997.2 center console removal

I've found some threads on removing the center console which I'm going to send to Classicleather to have covered during the winter. My question is will I still be able to drive the car without the center console?

Thanks

Gary

Yes, but you will likely get an airbag light on the dashboard due to the passenger seat weight sensor light being disconnected. If you have Durametric it's easy to clear. If not you will need a dealer trip though.

Or disconnect the aribag light from the center console and reconnect it to the car before putting the key in the ignition.

If you have the iPhone adapter you need to disconnect that too.

Thanks...probably best not to drive it...a trip to the dealer will cost more than covering the console

It's the passenger airbag light that trips it. Just remove it from the console before you send it out and connect it off of the console so you can drive again.

Please post pictures of your center console after you get it back from Classic9Leather. Their prices seem to be very reasonable.
