Does this wheel come in a heated version? I love it, but even in LA I've been using my heated wheel almost on a daily basis the last couple of weeks.

I can't seem to untrain myself and still reach for the ***** and buttons on the PCM unit. That's why I'm planning on switching to the sports steering wheel with the paddles...probably the alcantara.

Don't think so.

Looks really nice.

Does this wheel feel much more substantial (thicker) than the standard wheel ?

and does your standard airbag work with it ?

Wheel is not substantially thicker than std. That fact that it feel great in the hand in difficult to quantify. Yes a std oem Porsche airbag will work, assuming it's round.

What is a Maritime Carrera? Did your car take a swim in the ocean?

Nice color. The title said Maritime Carrera. I thought it was referring to a model that I must have missed somewhere.

Careful... Only a 997.2/991 round airbag will work - a 997.1 round airbag will not work.
I can't believe you paid $200 for the install. It takes ~10 min.

I did the same Sport Design steering wheel in my 2008 w/multi-function. No module needed.
I got the wheel for $650 (rennlist classifieds) and a leather airbag for $610 (eBay).
