It's Shine Supply out of CA. I was a die hard Adam's guy but switched when a good friend who is a very high end detailer told me he switched.

It's WAY less $ and the results are outstanding. I will say the pics were pro done by a good friend and I know he does a little PS cleaning of them. Not bad for 20 year old original Dodge paint

I had the same dilemma. I went with the 997.

As someone coming from a built viper.. I'd offer up the fact that you'll likely be more satisfied long term with a 996 Turbo. It can be built to make substantial power... and coming from a 90s viper its not like you'll be feeling the interior is amiss

Now that's funny!!! You mean the interior of a 97 Viper isn't the lap of luxury?

I'm really loving the look of the 997 with the aero...that said, other then headlights, can always add GT2 inspired body mods on a 996. Not an "upbadge" ever, but I like the bigger wings etc...I'm sure from looking at my subtle Viper, you can tell I'm a "purist."

NOT

I'd get a base 991 with a manual transmission.

If only 991's were in the same price, that would be an incredible buy!

The 996 Turbos have been tarred with the same brush that the normally aspirated 996 cars have--which is unfair, since the Turbo doesn't have the IMS issues that have brought down the values of the entire line. But, someone else's loss can be your gain.

A good friend of mine had a 996 Turbo. That car was amazing back in the day, still is fast as heck and now is a really, really good performance bargain.

My thoughts exactly. I had a beautiful Ocean blue/ Beige 996. The interior bugged me enough to sell it.

I'm seeing 996tts in 50s. 991 base is in low 60s...

If you must get one of the two mentioned... 996tt.

I couldn't personally own a 996. I just can't handle the straight sided body and the headlights. Both our 997s are 11 years old and they're just gorgeous to look at with the proper headlights, coke-bottle shape, etc plus the interiors are much nicer, especially with the full leather option.

Some variants of the 996 had more curves than others. I thought that my 996 C4S was sexy, especially from the rear.

996tt or 997.2S? I'd get the latter. If your price target requires 997.1 generation, though, then the older turbo. Fortunately, this is a quiz with no wrong answer!
