Yea or nay - black wheels on this...

Challenges with painting black..... I spoke at length with a tire/wheel place that does rim refurbishments etc.... I wanted flat black... didn't do it yet... as I wanted a color to match the black trim pieces on the car. He said pure flat black with attract brake dust that will not wash out.... in time, you will have staining. He said he could get a very flat look with a coating of something or other.... but in short, you will still have a slight gloss to a flat color.... he showed me what he could do on another customer's wheels and they looked good.
In short, you need to talk to someone who really knows what hey are doing if you want a flat color.

Those wheels on your car now are fantastic. I have always hatted to foul up a factory finish. Maybe if they were damaged? Nothing is better than the original finish, in my opinion.
If you want BLACK or smoke. Go buy some and sell your pristine factory finish wheels.
My vote - Be happy with what you have. They look fantastic.

After rechecking your original photos, I notice you have really nice looking silver mesh grills. The silver wheels work very nicely with that. If you went to black wheels the mesh would likely look out of place. Then I think you'd want to black out the mesh and the rest of that car as much as possible too, rear emblems, etc. Again, it looks great like it is!

Those look like Victor Zehn wheels. I think they look excellent as they are. Black wheels seem like an attempt to hide the look of the wheel. A black wheel with a black tire in a black wheel well gets lost.
In my opinion, a titanium finish would look much better than black.

Leave it as is.
