Any 997 here with macassar centre console?

Our cars have too many interior colors. It should be two or three max. In mine:
- Natural Leather
- Silver bits (I hate them, they should be black)
- Black bits
- Macassar bits
I want all that awful silver trim removed..... Porsche didn;t make that in our model years. I hope I am wrong on this....
Peace

Nice Pat..... I like it...
But, look at those shiny bits.... they should match the radio button panel steel grey. And some of the button panels are black like the seat memory and window up/down should be steel grey also.
Thanx for the pic!

Yup, those are the ones in my photo - sourced the center console elsewhere. Thanks Ynot - wife still loves her interior look.

I've got the makassar dash strip, gear shift **** and hand break with my black full leather interior 2011 997.2. I really like the look with the shift **** and break handle. The black in the wood matches up, and the rest of the color gives it a nice contract with the black leather. Really nice when the sun shines on it. I ordered sight unseen with the black leather, kept my fingers crossed until delivery, and that was the first thing I looked at when I took delivery. Very happy with it.

When optioning my car years ago I opted to exclude the central console. I went with leather. It's easier on your body, and holds up better than that slush finish crap that is stock. The ebony is nice (I just have a few bits here and there like st wheel, handbrake, etc) but it's rather massive on the central console, and does not look that realistic. What's your interior leather color?

So I ordered the macassar centre console kit (part number 997 044 803 80) and here it is.
Unfortunately not real wood, at least not this particular part number. It's all plastic and plastic wood veneer, just like how IKEA would do it. Still, the veneer is exceptionally well made, matches with the rest of the trims both veneer and real wood.
There's another more expensive part number 997 044 803 30, but that's thrice the price so I wouldn't bother.

Thanks for posting the photo.
Was wondering if anyone has any thoughts around the difference between the two macassar options. 3K is quite a bit of money versus the list of 1700 for the veneer.
