Would you Consider this 997.2 GTS w/PDK?

I say go with your gut, there are lots of these small lot places in CA, with tempting cars, but like you stated if it looks like an auction car they are just flipping for a few k profit and did no work on the car, the mismatched tires are your first clue.

You can ask for new matched tires or have them lower the price so you can buy them. It all depends on how they have been trying to sell it. Most places want inventory moved within 5 or six weeks at most.

I love the color on that car. They are asking a crazy high price considering it's been in an accident.
For 50-55k I would buy it.
Taking the price aside completely I might potentially buy it but it depends on how. If I were paying cash and knew for a fact that I would not be selling it then perhaps. If I were buying it for the sole purpose of my own enjoyment and never planning to sell it under any circumstance then yes I might buy it after it had been gone over by a body shop and at a steeply discounted price. Nothing that looks like $6x,xxx

Over the course of my Porsche ownership I've listed two 993s and one 997. Not one of them had a bad Carfax, I've had service records and they were all clean cars. It was a pain in the ***. The low-ballers, the nitpickers, the guys that needed to check with their wives, I could go on. Add all that to a car with a tainted history, if this is your car you either buy at a point to absorb the resale hit or plan on passing it on to your heir.

Excellent points CAA. In today's market the car buyer has an overwhelming amount of information available for a particular vehicle. The slightest blemish can scare away a prospective buyer for no good reason. When I buy a 911 I'm buying a driving experience, not a transportation device. If I see one that pushes my buttons I'm willing to overlook cosmetic issues and wearable items that can be replaced but I want to get it at a price that reflects these needs. This particular vehicle is not priced appropriately but it has every option I would order on a new one. I'm not naive enough to think that I would never sell a car I like but I know I would enjoy this one.

Way too much for an accident car, personally, I wouldn't touch any Porsche with an accident history. Used Porsche buyers are more picky than new ones. Buy it and find out there are other issues and when you try to sell it, it'll be nearly impossible.
