Guys Porsche R&D spends crazy hours developing the sound we all love, and I also don't want to mod the heck out of my car. I just want a little more sound. Perhaps just the center muffler bypass will suffice.
I recommend going for the Fister mufflers then. It sounds pretty much identical to the PSE (Porsche Sports Exhaust) with the valve open.

It will also be cheaper than the center muffler bypass.

My 997 GTS is quite loud and I can relate to the poster with the STi incident - some sound quite eager when in fact they're just in the flow...

Wow. That's a lofty claim that I am not totally convinced I believe. So this makes the car the same HP as an X51 Kit with just exhaust mods?

Compared to my GT3 it's still pretty tame, but nice
I have a fister exhaust on my 997.1 C2s and it gurgles and pops on deceleration, etc. I thought it was fairly loud until I was next to a modded 997 gt3 at WOT. I couldn't even hear my car.

What is next step to get just a little louder on a 997.1 c2s with a fister already installed?

Sent a PM over to you, this is the information I was looking for. As you have a 997.2, I would recommend our Center Muffler Bypass X-Pipe. It is not a drastic change in exhaust note. It offers a throatier, sportier exhaust note that is a bit higher pitch as you progress higher in the RPM range. It is the best bang for the buck upgrade on the 997.2 generation and generally the starting point for upgrades on these cars

Awe has been proven well before on many models. I would believe them. They actually design their systems to produce. Not just sound good

I added the FVD Brombacher Exhaust for my 997.2 PDK. Great build quality, very good sound. Light crackle with easy driving, but great sound when cranking it up. Rhonda (as has been said many times on this site) is great to deal with. I did the Exhaust, ECU tune and BMC aircleaners. It was a great package. Enjoy.

If you just want slightly more sound do the center muffler. You pick up a few HP too which is nice. If you want more sound than that do the side cans too/instead of the center muffler.

Default i have the same, and since unplugging the relay, it is 'on' all the time

and sounds much better, no 'redamping(?) at full throttle, my car is gen 1...haven't needed any other mods, gundo, sport cats, etc...
