Any track time? I'm 5K miles or so past that point. Any indications before the light came on?

Mine came on at 24k miles. Pads were shot. I also replaced the rotors, based on the size of the wear dimples on the rotor. Check yours to see if you need the rotors or not.

I replaced with Hawk pads and Sebro rotors.

No track time from me....but I'm the second owner. It literally just came on yesterday.

Where do I locate the wear dimples on the rotor?

I just checked the full complete service history. Brakes were never changed. 2 brake flushes were performed at 20K and just before I bought the car recently. The car was sold and serviced its full life here at the original dealer.

on my GTS.. the indicator came on at approx 32k miles. At the end of a very spirited mountain driving session. the mountains are a couple hours away so once I've driven out there I tend to hit twisties for 6-8 hours before coming back. No big deal. I switched to hawk ceramic pads and things are good.. that was 6k miles and a track weekend ago.

I had my front pads and rotors replaced by dealer at ~30k too. I was not expecting the pads to be gone so soon. I thought I should get 50k out of a set, but I was wrong.

I was told that 35k miles is approximately the life of a set of rotors and pads for normal usage. I recently just went through a set of pads in 3 track days and a bit under 10k street miles.

Quick update.....the pads still have 40% left on them I was told and the rotors are good. Apparently a sensor has an issue and caused the light to go on.

I've decided to just go ahead and replace the pads. They need to order them.....total cost will be $800.

Thats much less than I was expecting. Are the GTS pads any different or not normally stocked?

GTS pads are same as S pads and around $500 for all four corners. Two hours labor sounds about right. They are a breeze to change. No need to remove the calipers.

Not at the dealer. They have the tools and lifts necessary. Takes them just as long as five lug. Maybe a bit more attention needs to be paid to greasing and torquing.

800 sounds pretty steep. I think I may have paid $450 or so. For hawk ceramics. The pads themselves were $300, from amazon
