So after searching for nearly a year for a Unicorn low mileage 997.2 C2S, I finally found a low mileage 09 C2S in the right color combo. Cream White over Cocoa Brown. She was basically a garage queen for most of her life. I have already put ~2,500 miles on her.
I desperately wanted a manual, but I gave up and settled on the PDK. This is where I must confess, as my entire life I have sworn by the third pedal. Admittedly mocking "Paddle Shifting" cars as impostors. In short, I have fallen in love with the PDK. Especially since I installed the SC software and the Paddle Shift Wheel. As many others have stated, this is an absolute must have option with PDK. What a transformation. I'm ashamed to say how much I love the PDK....dare I say I like it better than a proper manual PDK has the best of both worlds, performance and practicality. Bravo Porsche. Bravo.
Here are some pics of her and details on options:
- 12,200 miles at time of purchase
- PDK (I added paddle shift wheel and "wartless" SC software)
- Bose
- Auto Dimming Mirrors
- Illuminated Kick Panels
- Dynamic Cornering Headlights
- Universal Audio Interface
- Full Cocoa Brown Leather Interior
- CPO until 12/17
Thanks guys! I still love rowing through the gears in a proper manual. Nothing will ever replace that raw connection of man and machine, but the PDK is so much fun and so practical.
I hear you on traffic. Maybe it's just me getting older, but historically almost always owning manuals up until now, I certainly don't hate traffic as much knowing I can just throw it in D.
Not to be the negative nancy, but I experienced the same feeling as you in 2012 when I drove my first automatic/dct sports car: an e92 Bmw m3.
i loved it for about 2 years. Then I missed my old manual Nissan 370Z.
When end you realize you enjoy your Bmw less than your old Nissan z, it's time for change.
I figured, what would give me that 6 mt, engaged feel, in something refined like a Bmw?
porsche 911 was the only choice. Seriously there is no substitute. No Bmw I have driven has a clutch and transmission that shifts like the Porsche
congrats on the pdk; my guilty admission is id like to buy a used 991 with pdk for commuting in horrendous Austin traffic .
Hey Negative Nancy ( )...If and when he gets sick of it, he can then sell it to me! . Although, I'm not exactly sure how one can get tired of that color combo. At the rate he's piling up the miles, I'll get it for a steal.

Haha. I had to give her an "Italian tune-up". Fortunately, she is not my daily driver. Just for posing at Starbucks in the wee hours of the weekend. So mileage should be in the 1-200 a month range
Congrats, it's a beautiful car! If I had a long commute w/rush hour time, I probably would prefer an automatic too. Although, in that case I would probably go for a 550SL instead, or maybe a 991, as the ride and cabin noise would also be factors given the stress of such a commute.
