Default ALL DATA online repair/maint. manual

(no affiliation) I have the subscription to this e-manual and it does at times come in quite handy. Appears to be copied directly from a Porsche shop manual.

Haynes doesn't make a 997.2 manual yet, when they do i'll get that too.
I like having multiple resources, they all have something missing, but also have things that you are happy for.

just a thought. you can check it out free I think. yearly subscription around 20 smacks

I just bought my subscription as your made made me curious.

Well, I tried to find instructions on how to remove the bumper covers (front and rear) but there are none!

A bit disappointed to say the least.

Regards,

CF

I bought this one for my 997.2: http://isiplanet.com/997Original.html
It's not a very good manual compared to the Honda ones I've used in the past, but the info is in there.

Ducati_john, is the source for this manual Porsche, or is this a fully aftermarket manual?

USD35 isn't a huge amount to pay, but I've wasted my money on "workshop manuals" that turned out to be nothing but the parts diagram that's available for free on Porsche's website...

Thanks!!

I have the same thing from isoplanet. It's the workshop manual from Porsche organized like a table of contents. Each sub section includes the Carrera, Turbo and GT3 version of the workshop manuals specific to the task/system you're working on. I'm not affiliated but it was critical in helping me install my suspension this past spring. And he shipped it to me in just a couple of days from MN.

Here you go
Rear: http://www.gettydesign.com/frp/997/Rear_Bumper.pdf
Front: http://www.gettydesign.com/frp/997/Bumper.pdf

"The Rock" also put together a great DIY on this (and many other things). You can find it by searching on 6speed and perhaps this forum as well.

Thanks.

However, I specifically wanted the DIY for 997.2

I have those other ones that are out there already and I am sure that there is not that much difference between 997.1 and 997.2

What really bothered my about ALLData was the fact that they provide the DIY on how to remove the part underneath the bumper cover and also reference to the DIY for removing the bumper cover but then not actually provide that one.

cf did you try to get refund?
honestly, I just used this site about 10 min ago.
something so simple as cabin air filter change.
it gave me just enough info to help dislodge it without breaking anything.
sure I could have figured it out, but was nice to have the description. the filter even came with a photo instruction. seemed to pertain to boxster/911 and was confusing!

I sent an email last night and received the reply today:

"Unfortunately, the information you requested is not available in our database.

ALLDATAdiy.com gets our information directly from the OE Manufacturer. We do not add to, subtract from, or modify this data in anyway.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Yes, disappointing, but I will maintain my subscription.

I bought this same manual. My car recently had an oil leak at the HPFP, and I couldn't find any info on removing and replacing the pump. From reviewing the documents, it's not perfect but I don't feel it was a waste of money.
