Default Cruise Control not working

My battery died a few months ago and I had to have the dealer do a "hand over" reset.

I live in an area where cruise control isn't very useful but I was on a trip this weekend and when I went to engage it... Nothing.

The he light doesn't come on and nothing happens.

another trip tongue dealer?

No kidding. Truth be told, the car is over ten years old with 80k miles on it. It's had relatively few problems its entire life so I can't really complain about little things here and there. It's in better shape than I am.

Perhaps it just needs some lubrication while wearing spandex.

Needs the handover done properly - v common for the seats, cruise and interior Orientation LED not to work after a slowly run down battery. Why those things?? God only knows...

Maybe check the fuse that powers the cruise control or disconnect an reconnect the battery again. Maybe it's like amnesia - one blow to the head makes you forget everything and a 2nd makes you remember again. You can check the fuse or do the battery disconnect / reconnect wearing spandex if it helps you bond with the car in some way.
