Default Difference between dot and home?

So turned off my lights last night and went one to far left and saw a dot. What does this do vs home on the headlight switch? I know I should look in the manual but I'm lazy.

All the way left is completely off. Home leaves some exterior lights on after you stop the car for a period of time then shuts off automatically. It gives some access light at night when exiting the car. I'm too lazy to lookup which lights stay on, for how long, and if they are programmable or not

I never trust those delayed lights will turn themselves off, and I'll end up with a dead battery, so I never use it. Even the interior lights, I'll usually take a peek into the garage before bed to make sure they went off.

Home leaves the front fog lights on I believe for 20 or 30 seconds and I think it also turns them on when unlocking the car. Not sure if it does anything with taillights. Dot is completely off.

I always use that feature and it indeed turns off your lights after. And it's not even your full headlights that stay on... it's your LED DRL's.

Just stand in front of your car and watch them yourself to make yourself certain that they actually go off. lol

But what if the car switches them back on as soon as your back is turned? You can't trust these things...

I'm still not sure the light in my refrigerator goes off when I close the door!

I've always been tempted (although not enough to actually bother doing it...) to start my phone videoing and shut it in the fridge just to check this one

True story, I only used the dot. So one night I figure I would change it up and use the home button.

Im at a restaurant and walk away from the vehicle. Moments later a fellow comes to me and says I left my car light on.

Then I left the restaurant to pick up milk at a gas station. Same thing put it on home, and AGAIN another fellow comes at me and tells me I left my lights on.

Strange, SO many cars do that (leave lights on for 30 sec and shut off), however with this vehicle people are compelled to tell me my lights are on.

Anyhow, I go for the dot now! LOL
