Default been a long time

I had a 1998 996 and kids took me out of the groove for some time. Just purchased a used 2009 911 and I cant get the navigation to work. My guess and I could be wrong is that somebody previously took the disc. It has the touch screen with the nav and map buttons but when I press it gives me some type of message. Is it possible that I don't have navigation? If its just a disc where does it go if I can find one

thanks for your help

It probably doesn't have navigation. You can run your vin through vin decoderz (yes with a z) and it will give you the build options at the bottom of the page.
