I have at least 4 of these small compressors. 2 are oiless, but boy are they LOUD. I would try and go with oil. You do have some additional maintenance, but worth it to me. Kids use it for their bike, wife will check and fill her own tires. I blow out the house sprinklers. Clean the furnace with the air trip. I also do some woodworking with it. A few brad nailers and staplers.
All those extra hoses are heavy and I find awkward, and difficult to coil. I have two 50 foot coils of this.
One for the garage, and an extra length to get outside and into the house.
BiP- glad you got your set up. Sorry for all the new tools you'll "just have to get".

I've said it before and I'll say it again- this is an amazing low noise oil-free compressor. I guess it manages this with a large piston that moves slowly- but it IS quiet

ditto on the viair 12V portable. I think I got a larger one as it connects to the battery as opposed to the cigarette lighter. It is powerful and fast for tires etc. I keep it in the Cayenne. Not for air tools. I keep an old Sears 3HP/20gallon in the garage for that.

The DeWalt is also quiet. That has a larger tank which is preferable.

60db vs 71db is a HUGE difference. I would equate it to a hair dryer running on slow speed- I don't think the neighbors can hear it. The Rolair large slow moving piston is also a winner when it comes to wear and tear.

2.3 gal on the Rolair vs. 1 gal for the dewalt you posted?

Agreed! The DeWalt is still very quiet (I do not hear it inside the house and my neighbors even less) and compact. And I agree yours is still better.

Oh my gosh, I'm glad we got that settled! What other first-world problems can we solve?

I picked up a California Air Tools compressor a couple of years ago and it's been excellent. Very quiet compared to anything else I have heard and no issues

I was tempted to pick one of those up, but didn't know of anyone who had one. I saw really good reviews, but wasn't sure how well to trust them. I ended up with a Dewalt, which is very quiet also. I'm glad to hear you like the California Air tools- maybe one day I'll be in the market for another compressor.
