Default License Plate LED bulbs.

I'm thinking or replacing rear license plate bulbs to led on my 997.2 . They look modern. There is a reputed eBay seller has canbus bulbs, claims no errors. Any one used it or suggestions?

TIA.

I went with Suncoast full kit and rear plate bulbs. More expensive but everything worked and fit like a charm. No errors or issues in nearly a year.

I did this entire kit that includes license plate bulbs for a few bucks more. Everything looks and works great in my 997.2. Agree that the license plates lit in cool white looks more modern without looking ricer.

If memory serves, I bought the Hoen USA units.

I suggest getting a complete LED unit that replaces the OE housing completely. I think those tend to be a bit more reliable. Bit more of a pain to install, but then you get a sealed unit and don't have to deal with an LED bulb coming out of the holder.

I think it updates the exterior look. I personally prefer the white light of the LED over the yellow of regular bulbs.

That's why they make smoked license plate covers. And for the ultimate ricer look, combine the LED lights with smoked covers!

Anyway, does anyone have any updates/reviews of the el-cheapo (~$20) eBay versions? I'm sure the Suncoast ($64) and Hoen ($55) versions are perfect, but not sure they're worth triple the price.

My ebay cheapos are still working great! I think if they don't fail right away, they end up lasting a long time.
