Default Car completely dead. Help.

Got in my '05 997 this morning and it was completely dead. No lights no bells no whistles no window down a bit when I opened the door. Nada.
And now the key is stuck in the ignition.
No symptoms whatsoever prior. Last drove it last wed.
I'll check the battery first, didn't see anything open for any lights left on. Very strange.
Thanks

Hope you left your hood open. When these batteries go, they really go - can start in the morning and be dead in the afternoon. Good luck.

Well it was definitely dead - 3 volts dead. I think my daughter left the passenger door not completely
closed on Wednesday. Monday morning dead as hell.

Good news is Walmart gave me a replacement because it was 2-1/2 years on a 5 year battery, but retains the remainder of the old battery's warranty. Fair enough.

Thanks for the help.

The power management system will shut off lights after about two hours so if it was the door being open as the cause your battery was truly on it's last legs. Was-Mart warranty much better than Porsche.
