Hi everyone- just an update on this post. After contacting the Porsche Exchange, they agreed to replace the spark plugs at no cost to me because it should have been done when I purchased the car in 2014. I just wanted to commend the dealer, the sales manager (Nick Kopp) and the service manager for doing the right thing. Their level of service was admirable. I also did the brake flush service ($280) while the car was in the shop anyway since it is supposed to be done every two years.

Spark plugs are considered routine maintenance just like changing out the oil or windshield wipers. It's a consumable item or wear item.
One quick response to this good point: I'd agree with you, except the sales manager specifically told me in writing that all of the routine service/maintenance items were up to date when I bought the car in 2014. The spark plugs should have been replaced in 2014 as part of routine maintenance.

That's great for you! I would not have expected PE to do that. They've been less... accommodating... with the few issues I've had (granted I didn't buy the car there).

o/p - Good on the dealer for stepping up to the plate 24 months after the fact. Obviously you were not bull in a china shop, going in.
