Serpentine belt replacement question
So I am going to replace the serpentine belt on my 997.2 today. I was reviewing the DIYs and came across this video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjxd5sa65I0
In German with English subtitles.
It is the only place I or saw that shows a T25 bolt on the tensioner that needs to be loosened before you can turn it. Has anyone else had to do this? Also I have seen conflicting sizes for the tensioner 24mm vs 30mm vs 32 mm. Which is correct?

No "loosening" of any bolts. Only removal of the spacer and removal of the air plenum and cranking back the pulley. Easy work... I did need long extensions to get to that bolt via the hole behind the license plate.... 997.2 is different than 997.1 but not by much.... 997.1 is actually easier than .2 but not by much, both are easy (I just did my friend's 996). Just make sure you get the hose back on the throttle body all the way as you can miss the underside of the hose and then get an air leak.... IIRC, you can slip the hose on before seating the plenum as it is a bit easier that way.

Bruce is correct, as usual. I recently did the Serp belt and watched the same video. You do not need to "loosen" the that bolt, just turn it to get enough belt play to remove same.
