Reboot this thread ... My system in my 2005 911 (997) just started this yesterday on my long enjoyable drive I have mine updated to 3.0. and it was working just fine then ... it went wacko.

So my take away is ... pull the fuse, make the decision to either fix the OEM system or pull it for a less expensive all in one unit that is more reliable and less over engineered.

Recommendations?

Thats up to you. You want to spend $1500 to get the same unit back? Or $700 for a new HU with a modern interface.

There are a lot of threads on this including several very recent ones. Check those out and come back with specific questions
