Most high end shops will not repair a front bumper - They will only replace it. Anything else is sub-par.
Cost for new bumper and new paint should be in the $1800 range for a good high end shop.
This is a shop that will go to great lengths to match paint perfectly and finish work excellent with proper gaps/fitment etc
Do yourself a favor and don't take the cheap way out - Excellent/proper repair/paint is a must on any panel repair unless it is a banged up driver with diminished resale value.

Im gonna respectfully disagree with you. If the scratch is small, I would document and have the imperfection fixed by a quality mobile bumper repair specialist go this route. The thought process is this, when you replace a large panel like bumper, you open up a slew of questions from potential buyers. Pcar buyers are like Fcar buyers. They will want to know the story. A localized repair is easier to explain than a panel removal and replacement. When a Paint depth test is performed, it will show a small footprint. But if the whole bumper is replaced, that opens up a whole can of worms to what has been replaced and how extensive is the repairs. But a qualified PPI will show that the bumper is original and the underlying parts are original as well.

Just my two cents.

I would always try to avoid painting the entire bumper for the simple reason that you will ALWAYS get more stone chips after a bumper is repainted.
Doesn't matter what shop you go to or what additives they put in the paint... it's never as strong as the factory.
The only remedy would be to clear wrap the bumper after the paint has cured. (3M, Xpel...).

So you are really only talking about the difference in price to repair and prep your current bumper for paint versus getting a new bumper - the painting step is the same in each case.

I've found good luck asking the local Porsche dealership who they use for their auto body work. Or call the local Mercedes, BMW or Audi dealerships and ask the same question. Chances are the best body shops service all the luxury dealerships. If you post your location others might be able to recommend a shop local to you as well with lots of Porsche experience.

And take lots of pictures of this cosmetic damage. It will help ease the next owner's mind knowing there was no accident damage, just a nasty scrape on the bumper.
I agree with ‘take lots of pictures.’
I would also agree with using the shop the Porsche Store uses for their new car repairs, could be different from their Used Car Department
for obvious reasons.
dont replace unless you have to, Ive never met a buyer who looked at a replaced panel and said ‘I’m sure it was nothing.’

The quotes of around $1000 seem very expensive. Are these the standard rates across the US at a good shop for bumper repaint assuming the bumper has only stone chips and no major damage? My side of the world it’s $300-400 at a very good shop. The dealer charges only about $500-600 max
