Advice needed - tire shop damaged coolant line
Tire shop mechanic damaged a coolant line in front while performing an alignment.
They are talking with the local dealership on how to fix it.
What should I look out for to be sure it is repaired properly, and the coolant system working properly? Top off the coolant, bleed it, full system flush?
Thanks in advance.

A tire shop?
Watch for the following:
Watch for the following:
- They carefully lower the car off the lift
- They watch as the flatbead driver loads it and takes it to someone competent.
- They pay the bill at the competent indy or dealer

The owner is a friend of mine who I trust.
He may be more of a car nut than me, having bare metal restored a few 70's muscle cars.
He is talking with the dealership.
Maybe I will go look at it tomorrow.

Talked with him this morning. He didn't seem 100% comfortable with vacuum bleed fill of the coolant system, so he is going to replace the hose and I'm having it towed to my indy for a proper flush/fill and going over.

Friend? Then he should do his best to make you right.
I'm assuming you were paying for your new tires or alignment.
But if they were being careful, then this is just an accident.
Get it fixed, hammer out a fair settlement. If unfair, I'm sure your friend will make good the difference on your next visit.
A drag, but ship does happen. This too will pass.

another example of why I get nervous when anyone is touching my car. I needed new tires on my old jag once. I took the wheels off and brought them to the tire shop to help prevent any of many possible problems.

I do that sometimes. In this case I wanted an alignment also, to reduce the amount of camber and toe which had worn the inside of the tire prematurely.
Turns out it had much more of both probably from the dealerships last alignment (I really don't like them).
Hey, shart happens. He handled it well. I am more concerned with our friendship than a $100 screw up. It is also good to have a trusted tire vendor for the 12 or so vehicles in my immediate family.
At least they caught it rather than me catching it on the drive home.

For a Porsche involved in an accident requires any mechanical damage be done by a qualified tech at a Porsche dealer.
While this wasn't an "accident" per se I would think the same thing applies.
