Default Great Cooler for Frunk of 997

In a BBQ Forum I frequent everyone's all gaga over the "RTIC" Coolers - their claim to fame --> half price of Yeti but as good or better performance..
Claims have been vetted by lots of informal tests.. Main issue was (may still be) Lead time. I was an early adopter and mine took a few Mo.'s to pre-order.

Anyway, I thought I mentioned it here before, but a search didn't show it for me, but their model 20 , comparable to the Yeti 20, fits perfectly in the frunk of my 05 Carrera

Just an FYI if you want a kick ___ cooler at a great price. I have NO affiliation...

I have a dielectric one that fits in front and plugs right to my 12vDC plug. Keeps things cold.

Edgy, would you mind sharing details? That's interesting, never knew about these.

FWIIW I just got a Canyon cooler equivalent to Yeti "Roadie". You won't be disappointed.

I've seen these for several years, always wanted to try one.. IMHO though there's still a place for long lasting icy goodness.
Is there no worry that you'll leave the mini fridge plugged in & forget it...... draining your battery or does that 12v socket tie in with ignition? My interior 12v sockets are always ON.

TOO Tall: you can google 12 volt car coolers or 12 volt car cooler reviews - wide variety of sizes/prices and no doubt quality.

Why would you want to put your drink down.

I asked my wife what to do with the half bottle of wine last night. She said "what is left over wine?" "Give it here".

The model that I have takes up the entire front trunk. It is by Koolatron. It comes it a couple of models that can include a shutoff so as to protect your battery, or not.

This one comes with a separate charger as well as the usual 12VDC cord which I plug into a standard Porsche 12VDC cigarette plug that I installed on the driver's side of the trunk, specifically for this use.

Did you run that 12VDC socket back to the battery or to the fuse panel to a ignition-switched load point?

Part numbers for the Porsche outlet bits... this seems like a great project to do?

Ran a wire from the battery. I didn’t worry about an issue as it only went to my hot 12v cig plug for that cooler. Never have had an issue with it.
