The only downside of studs that I've seen is that the lugnuts rust when you look at them.
I have a stud setup on my RUF and I use World Motorsports Ti lug nuts with it - strong, light, gorgeous, and no rust. World's are much more affordable than the others out there at about 1/3 the price.

these? I don't see the dimension listed. The steel ones I have now are M14x1.5 and I need open ended because of the length of my studs.
Yes, I have the closed nut versions but believe they offer an open version as well. Just send them a note or reply in the thread they started here on their offerings.
But they only refer to them as for air cooled Porsches. I'll follow up in the other thread.
Both air and water cooled Porsches use the same threads and seats (ball). The air cooled cars used nuts and the water cooled one bolts, which is why they refer to the nuts being for the air cooled cars, but that's what you want for the stud kit.
