Thanks for giving me insight into my country, you seem to be a true conosoisseur of the Swiss roads!

The road seems to be perfectly fine and I would love to drive there with a Porsche! There are obviously some roads which provide even more excitement..

Definitely gonna check out the video! Is a cabriolet the go to for a weekend / fun car without track days then ?
I'm not criticizing your country. There are fantastic roads in Switzerland, but the one you depicted is not one.

Alright you are probably correct, sorry for over-reacting.

No worries. Yeah, you would love a MX5 - fun car in general, and ideal for the roads you have shown.

More than a "fun car" if you're relatively inexperienced driving sports cars. IMO, it's a great car in which to gain experience needed to move up.

Many years ago, I started in sports cars with a 135 hp RX-7. Autocrossed the s..t out of it for about 5 years. Moved up to a 255 hp RX-7, autocross and track machine. Took that car to 400 hp. Then onto Porsches. I think you will find the MX-5 to be a great learning tool.

MX-5 is a tremendous car. I've owned two.. and will own several more, quite sure. Actually looking forward to getting another before too long. Perhaps I will try out an FD instead, but sooner or later there will be more MX-5.

I went auto crossing this weekend and there were was a 997 Turbo, a GT3, a GT4, Corvettes etc.

I did not stay around till the end but when I left, a few Miatas were on the top of the leader board.

I owned a first gen once with a third gen engine swap. I wish I never sold it. At the time a I also had a 400hp FD RX-7. Guess which keys I would usually grab to go tear up the twisty roads by my house.

The new one is tempting but I would wait for them to hit the secondary market in a year or so.

high powered cars on windy roads can be boring....
I took a z06 on windy road earlier this year in CA
Although speed was impressive you can't simply go in high rpm without smacking into a wall...

I love the z06 but would of had more fun on a base cayman with sports exhaust.
