That's CARB for you. I would like to know the real (not imagined) benefit of the whole nonsense.

I found that turning the nozzle up 180deg works, even without the plastic ring. But I always stop when it shuts off, or check in the gauge before pressing on.

The new Chevron nozzles form a strong vacuum. The other day on a different car I had to pull very hard to break the vacuum and extract the nozzle. Nuts!

Looks like its a mostly a Cali-C4 problem and Im ok with that. Hopefully the next guy will find this thread via Google easily while standing by the pump.

This is a 1 out of 10 as far as issues goes. Still batting a 1000 on my little girl. Her name is Maggie, hear her roar.
