Default HELP! Warning Light: Battery/Generator

I was driving home and a warning light saying battery/generator came on. My A/C went out and the oil temp and engine temp started to rise so I pulled over and shut it down. I waited for temps to cool off and tried to restart but the car would not start. I had the car jumped and drive the remaining mile home. The same warning light came on and just as I was pulling up to the house the engine temp and oil temp started to rise, the power steering shut off, the abs and pcm shut off and then the car went dead.

Question: I am assuming I just need to replace the battery. Is that correct? Any idea what the generator is? Thanks!

Classic serpentine belt broken/slipping symptoms. That belt drives all the things that stopped working. Take a look and see if it is still there.

interesting. I have that error code occasionally. New belt and tensioner roller so its not that. My thought is ignition switch or alternator. Never when I'm driving - just at start up. Shut off and start again and cleared. Very unnerving. I have new alternator stashed but it is not a simple job to me. Impact gun to knock bolt out etc. Mechanic went over procedure with me. Showed me his custom bolt. I assured him he would do the job when needed.

Sometimes is your alternator that its not working properly.
I replace mine and starts to take a little too long to start the car.
I think its time to change my starter
