Manual or PDK?

I could see getting back to an MT sometime - but it would be a 993; if I'm going retro, I'm going retro.
PDK is a blast - but, yes, that "what if it breaks?" is a little scary. I reckon if/when and the car is still good, I'll get it fixed - otherwise, I'll move on - can't spend too many cycles worrying about stuff like that. "All worrying and no playing makes Jack a dull boy".

So much depends on where you live. I could not imagine DD a manual in LA traffic. I love my PDK for this reason. I have manual cars and they are relegated to times when I can actually move it into other gears besides 1st and 2nd. Usually on the weekends, either super early or super late. But these moments are magic and nothing beats rowing and pushing it.

PDK is truly fantastic, however the real paddles are a MUST. To really enjoy shifting PDK manually, you will be reaching triple digit speeds pretty quickly, manual transmission is on the other hand lots of fun in every speed.
I prefer manual any day, as you will find yourself in Auto mode with you PDK most of the time.

As much as I like the PDK, I really, really miss rowing my own gears. This is the first "automatic" I've purchased but it was purely because manuals practically don't exist over here - PDK is the only tranny offered here in Korea now, which I find to be ridiculous. If I had a choice, 6 speed all the way!

However when not driving at 10/10 I really miss the manual and will likely trade in for manual down the line. Most of my driving ranges from 4/10 to 8/10 and manual is better in these situations.

I think it's some kind of a crime to beat dead animals (such as horses)

Throwing my 0.02 into the fray: with a naturally aspirated engine, manual all the way; with a turbo, PDK if the PDK allows nifty things like anti-lag during shifts (like the new 718S has).
