Rethink the clear bra. They do protect the paint but they look like crap with rock chips and bugs etc (just like the paint would look w/o protection).

The different is if you want to remove the clear bra after 10 or so years, you will most likely have to respray the car. The baked in glue will mess up the clear coat and some of the paint.

Remove a clear bra is also a very expensive process. I was quoted up to 10 hrs to remove it on my cayenne S.

With that kind of cost and trouble, I would just re spray the front of the car after 10 years and skip the clear bra process.

Most people don't keep the car long enough to replace the clear bra so my situation is different.

I will consider your suggestion in making the final decision on the clear bra.

Hmm, I have removed several films and never had an issue at all. Used a steamer and they peeled right off in a single piece. No clear coat issues at all. Maybe you had an experience with a bad respray under the film?

I would look closely at the policy for wheels tire etc. Usually not worth it.

You can usually get those items aftermarket for lots less.

Example: Tire warranty including full replacements from discount tire is $150 extra for all four.
