Default Heat shield

I have 2007 997c4s and noticed my heat shield was loose. Only on one side. One of the bolts was actually gone and the other one was loose. My question is could these back out on there own or would my mechanic have removed these for the spark plugs. It has 60400 miles. The other side was completely tight. It seems weird that these would be loose to me. As far as I know no major work was done such as exhaust or anything else. If I hadn't noticcd this it could have come completely loose.

Depending on which heat shield you're referring to, it's likely it was removed for plugs and coil packs and not put back in correctly (hope the plugs were).

That's why I wanted to make sure that it was removed. The service was done a year ago and I was checking for a leak and noticed it.
