Yeah my first Porsche was a 1970 914-6 in Porsche Racing Green so was lucky to find this one new from a Porsche dealer in 2010 for $27,000 off sticker (Bad Economy). Luck of the Irish!
Wow, your car is beautiful and meticulously detailed. However, just a warning before the forum judges see this, one of your wheel’s Porsche crest’s point isn’t pointing at the air valve. I don’t put any stock in these things, but this can be a harsh crowd here.
Looks really nice. I'm curious if he did any paint correction in that 7 hours? Perhaps a quick iron out and clay bar followed by a finishing polish?
I have the opposite problem as you do living in SoCal. Any of my outdoor cars including the 911 are difficult to keep clean and pristine. I live very near the ocean and all of the morning dew picks up and concentrates the junk from the air and it settles on the paint as a very difficult to remove, brown water spot. I'm not talking about the pollen, that stuff comes off instantly. I end up having to gently nanoskin a few spots each week and sometimes a very gentle polish if I mar the paint a little.
I think I have to get a larger garage as keeping an outdoor car in the 95%+ range is becoming too time consuming. Or just give up and settle on having nice paint instead of flawless.
