Are these tires N rated? Does look like a smoking deal for half the price of super sports.

The Y rating is a speed rating. Not a spec.

Been driving on them for about 2 weeks now. Very pleased with ride comfort, performance/handling, appearance and most of all....value.

No they are not, but exceed the specs on the OEMs. Just not Porsche approved for various criteria.

Anyone know why Bridgestone dropped the Z rating (speeds over 149) on their newer performance tires? The Y is the key number.

Now discount tire and tire rack are offering the $70 coupon. I was 1 week early. Argh.

Seems like the Bridgestone SO-4's have taken over as the best bang for the buck tire over the Hankook V12's.

Gotcha. I just did a search and about non N rated tires in the 911 a few days ago and it sounded like everyone was saying NOT to do it. The thread was a few years ago, so maybe things have changed?

This deal is so good, I don't even need a full set of tires (just one front PS2) and I am tempted to jump on it, but it appears that these are a good price on a fairly regular basis. Would probably be dumb to buy them now just because of the deal and not need tires for another 2-3 years.

Very few on this board are getting N spec tires nowadays. And most are going with the super sports, a non N tire. Prices have been pretty on all tires.

I'm shopping for tires and ran across this.

The S-04 looks to be the best bang for the buck. My big question will be is if I go down this route I understand I could run into issues with my CPO by not running N rated tires? Thoughts?

I'm sure the S04s are great tires. The real question is what does one feel when switching from relatively new S04s to Michelin PSS? Switching from old tires into new it's always an immediate improvement.

I'm actually buying for a second set of wheels. My existing set are 18inch ContiSportContacts. These tires feel great. Therefore I'm making the jump from 18 to 19 with newly acquired 19 inch rims. I have heard from others I will notice less quality in the ride coming from 18 to 19.
