Hello everyone. I am a newbie to the forum. Just bought a 2009 Carrera S with PDK. I have called the local dealer twice about the sport chrono package and they did not call me back either time. My question is if I can get the sport chrono package added to my car.
Thanks in Advance

You can add the sports mode - please see the information from Suncoast:

Sport mode & Sports Chrono are 2 different things.
Sport mode option gives all the performance stuff (engine mapping & suspension) but does not give you the dash wart time clock. (CHRONOmeter)

One more question, for the sport mode software, do you buy it and you take it to the Porsche dealer for installation or do you just go to the Porsche dealership and have them order and install it.

Suncoast is a Porsche dealer that has excellent pricing. They're in FL. Being on the West Coast, I use Sunset Porsche in OR.
You can do it either way. Maybe your local dealer will match the price. Search for more info. I think there are posts that talk about installation costs.

I just added Sport Mode, including Sport Plus, to my 2011 Cayman. Suncoast did the work. My understanding is the software is already in the car but they have to get a code that is specific to your car from Porsche Germany to activate it. That means using their proprietary computer and of course the dash plate with buttons has to be changed.

I am closest to Porsche of North Houston. I have called them twice and both times they said they had to look it up and would get back with me. No call back either time. I will call another dealership tomorrow.
