I know. And that I what I discussed with the dealership and they said when they inspect tires they don't take age into account because it depends on how the tires were stored. They look for signs of wear and cracking, etc.

"Age" is the standard per PCNA (6 years), because tire cracks are not always visible. Trust me, I've been in a similar situation before (a tire merchant who is a sponsor on this forum sold me 6 year old tires and represented them as being "fresh or new"...and so I had to get PCNA involved to state that the tires should not be driven on (regardless if they still had acceptable tread depth or were stored in climate controlled facility. 80's old school

I just bought a 2006 C2 Cab. It had 48,000 miles when I bought it.

I was amazed that the front Bridgestone RE050S tires had a 2005 build date. Obviously originals! The back tires were replaced about 2 years ago.

By the lack of wear on the front... I can only imagine it was driven gently!!!
I recently changed all 4 tires!
