Looking for some confirmation here from the experts. For the 997.1 engine are the exhaust manifolds completely interchangeable? I know for certain you can swap the 3.8L standard headers with the X51 headers. Do the 3.8L standard headers or the X51 headers fit on the 3.6L engine? Is this considered an upgrade for the base model cars?

What about with the 996 series? Can you put 997.1 headers on the 996? Is it an upgrade?

I have my OEM headers for sale in the marketplace after upgrading to X51's. I'm trying to figure out when if ever these 997.1 'S' headers would be an upgrade for others, either base 997.1 or some of the 996 engines.

 

Doing some digging, headers are interchangeable between the 997.1 and 996 NA engines.
